Description

We are in the process of hiring a Senior Accountant for our manufacturing industry based in Whittier, California. This role involves managing our financial reporting process, ensuring compliance, and maintaining efficiency in all accounting activities. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for developing and implementing accounting procedures, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and month-end close processes

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies

• Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to streamline processes and mitigate risks

• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure financial integrity

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth

• Assist with external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions

• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP in performing tasks.

Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Should be adept at using General Ledger

• Familiarity with Journal Entries is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected

• Experience in Month End Close activities is preferred

• Proficiency in using NetSuite is required

• Knowledge of Oracle is expected

• Experience with SAP is a plus

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• CPA certification is preferred

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is expected

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
