Webster Groves School District Part-Time Athletic Trainer in Webster Groves, Missouri
2024-2025 School Year
Primary Objective:Serves as a health care provider capable of evaluating, advising and treating athletes to recover from injury, avoid injury or maintain peak physical fitness.
Essential Functions:
- Provide athletic training services for home and away contests as assigned by the Activities Director
- Prevention of athletic injuries and illness
- Evaluation of athletic injuries
- Treatment of athletic injuries
- Athletic training administrative duties
- Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments
- Work with doctors and other medical personnel to coordinate and deliver medical care to student athletes
- Supervision, education, and recruitment of student athletic trainers
- Secure and manage training room equipment and supplies
- Serve as liaison between players, coaches, medical personal and parents
- Provide Activities Director with list of medically ineligible athletes under district/state rules and regulations
- Provide coverage of summer camps and additional duties as assigned by the Activities Director
- Participate in position appropriate professional development and related learning
- Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from accredited university
- NATABOC certification
- Licensed through the Missouri Boards of Healing Arts
- Successful completion of CPR courses required.
- CPR/First Aid Instructor preferred
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience
