About the position:

It is an exciting time to join HP's Consumer Services and Solutions organization. This young organization is pivotal to transforming HP's business model from being a hallmark in transactional hardware to becoming a leader in lifelong relationships powered by subscription services.

As part of this transformation, HP is consolidating all its consumer facing apps into one new HP app that will power exciting, lifelong relationships with our customers.

If 'being part of a first', transforming ways of doing things, and establishing digital direct relationships with consumers at scale interests you, this role will give you ample opportunity to make your mark.

We are looking for an experienced Software Product Leader to make the new HP app a reality. Embedded in the Customer Success organization, you will lead the initiative pan-HP and establish the new app as a cornerstone for a multitude of strategies. From Go-To-Market enablement of global consumer service offerings, through lifelong relationships with our customers in all their hp device use cases, all the way to monetization of this digital asset, this new app will change the way we invite customers to interact with us.

The Senior Director SW Product Mgmt of the new HP app will lead the project across multiple dimensions:

Pan HP vision and leadership

You'll establish and lead the governance with our Hardware and Service and Support business partners. With their input, you will build out the strategy and direction for the HP app. You'll identify new use cases, build investment cases and drive the process to establish the app as a new and significant revenue stream for the company. You are the champion for the HP app.

Software Product Mgmt and execution planning

Being a hallmark for hardware, we are looking to become the same for Software. You will establish modern, effective and efficient software product management practices and, in closest collaboration with our software design and software engineering teams, define the plan and drive the execution. You will manage the framework components directly, and lead and govern the pan-HP contribution model.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience with a blend of software product management, software design or software engineering experience. You have proven successes running a true product operating model and are a believer in fast, tight, cross-functional collaboration and enjoy scaling from detailed requirements to strategic end to end experience drivers. Leading the HP app vision and direction in a matrixed contribution model plays to your influencing skills and your seniority in leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the vision and direction for HP's end-user-oriented app across the company.

  • Establish and lead the pan-HP governance to bring the combined innovation power from product, design and engineering into one execution plan that aligns to a customer- and experience led strategy.

  • Establish and drive state of the art software product mgnt methodology and execution process to bring the app to market and enable HP's business model transformation from transactional hardware to life-long service relationships.

  • Recruit, train, lead and inspire HP's strong team of Product Managers, crafting a path to continuously improving expertise and growth for the team.

  • Guide the team's creation of pan-app requirements definition, using learning gameplans and metrics-based prioritization to ensure we are working in an ideal sequence.

Experience and Leadership behaviors

  • Typically, 10+ years of management experience, including leading global teams creating roadmaps, analysis of the product and outlook, and app growth including retention tactics and messaging

  • Analytic and data driven with demonstrated ability to understand key performance drivers and use them to influence others, build plans to action them. Able to set up an environment where data is more democratized and the team can become experts in their areas.

  • At ease with digital subscription business models, strong business model understanding / business acumen.

  • Passionate about Customers and building great user experiences. Able and motivated to bring others to actions with insights and business cases you crystalize.

  • Collaborator across organizations and stakeholders incl. effective influencing of executive leaders and peers.

  • Proven ability of building diverse, inclusive high performing teams that win together
