We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Maintenance/Operations Associates for our client in Seattle, WA. We are looking for someone safety and accuracy driven with experience in scrap metal and recycling. We have multiple positions available and pay will be determined by experience and abilities. • Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Preform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of equipment
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment

Skills & Requirements Position Qualifications:

• Previous experience with torch cutting scrap metal
• Two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Oxygen/natural gas torch experience
• Ability to read manuals and schematics
• Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic malfunctions
• Able to weld steel, stainless steel and sanitary weld helpful. MIG, TIG
• Knowledge of drive chains, sprockets, conveyor belt splicing
• Able to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings
• Forklift certification, sit down, standup, aerial, and pallet jack
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. English required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, hear audible warning signals, walk and stand on uneven surfaces, lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Operating and moving various tools and equipment may require dexterity to push, pull, climb, bend, twist, turn, reach, etc.
• Personal protective equipment is required given multiple hazards typical of scrap yards
• Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform duties
• Good visual acuity
