Specific duties of the Overnight Counselor included:- Provide supportive counseling.- Providing rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention.- Maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients ensuring clients are doing their chores correctly and by assisting with cleaning activities.RequirementsSkills/Qualifications for the Overnight Counselor include:- Demonstrated ability in helping others.- Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience, preferred but not required.- Both the ability to work independently and as a team member.- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.- The ability to be organized and have good time management skills.- College classes in human services, preferred but not required.- Valid and insurable driver’s license preferred but not required.BenefitsSalary and Schedule of the Overnight Counselor position:- $20.50/hour; $42,640.00/annual equivalent.
