DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: SUMMARY: Responsible for mechanical diagnostics, repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline industrial trucks, and any other industrial machinery.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete inspections, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, pickups, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment. Keep track of important system components such as diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, steering and suspension systems. Ability to use maintenance software programs, laptops, and hand-held computers to aid in equipment diagnostics. Maintain proper service records on work completed in Vehicle Maintenance Systems (VMS) tracking parts and labor with clear, concise, and complete comments. Read, and sign off on Daily Vehicle Inspection Records (DVIR) in Motive. Ability to document systems accurately and in a timely manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
