Description

We are opening a position for a part-time Accounting Clerk in the food and food processing industry, based in Milwaukie, Oregon. As a part-time Accounting Clerk, your primary responsibilities will revolve around handling data entry and filing tasks, specifically focusing on wrapping up files for the previous year and initiating the ones for the current year. This is a contact position that starts immediately!

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and file data related to the company's accounting records.

• Maintain an organized and efficient filing system for easy access to information.

• Assist in the transition of files from the previous year to the current one.

• Ensure the integrity of accounting data by verifying accuracy.

• Utilize your skills in data entry to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve productivity.

• Handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data privacy regulations.

• Assist in other accounting tasks as required by the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an accounting clerk role is desirable

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is required

• Experience with data entry and record keeping

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Must be authorized to work in the specified location.
