Amazon Compliance Manager, AEU UK in London, United Kingdom

Description

We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join the Amazon EU S.a.r.l (AEU UK) team to support the compliance operations of the firm. Reporting to AEU UK’s Senior Compliance Manager, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting the various credit broking and insurance propositions within the UK.

The Compliance Manager will support in providing regulatory oversight and approval for new programs, providing expert advice to stakeholders and supporting strategy design with regulatory input.

This opportunity requires a subject matter expert to contribute within a fast-paced, growing team. You will champion customer outcomes and use your knowledge of the industry and regulatory horizon to ensure sustainable, compliant solutions are formed. You will comfortably handle ambiguity, and provide pragmatic challenge to colleagues, peers and leadership and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details. You think outside of the box, coming up with solutions in times of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead on the day to day activities of AEU UK’s compliance team including (but not limited to) effectively managing AEU UK’s compliance mailbox, reviewing financial promotions, responding to complaints and the submission of regulatory returns

  • Coordinate regulatory and strategic internal projects that impact across AEU UK’s activities, including support in the delivery and ongoing requirements of the Consumer Duty

  • Assist the Senior Compliance Managers in drafting and delivering key compliance training

  • Support in the ongoing delivery of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)

  • Support in the maintenance, ongoing effectiveness and implementation of policy and procedure

  • Coordinate deliverables for the UK financial regulator, contributing through providing timely responses and assisting stakeholders with their communications

  • Monitor regulatory change and emerging risk from regulatory sources and circulate key developments to internal stakeholders

  • Maintain AEU UK’s Compliance Manual

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

  • Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

  • Experience with SQL and Excel

  • Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
