We are seeking an adaptive and thoughtful Structural Engineering Leader who feels they're stuck in a stagnant office that is bureaucratic and conventional. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated accomplishments in structural engineering design, coupled with project management experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects from concept to completion. As well, you will have a significant voice in the direction of the organization and play a meaningful role in our office's goals, as mentor to help guide to others on your Team.

Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of structural engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Lead a group of engineers and drafters to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
Support KPFF's goal for creating a perpetual organization that focuses on happy staff, happy clients, good financial outcomes, and great engineering.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations meanwhile ensuring timely and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and structural assessments to determine project viability and scope.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports in accordance with the Building Code
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of safety within the project team.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, RAM, Risa3D, etc.
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IBC, ACI, AISC).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Physical and Work Environment :
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer.
Duties require the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day.
May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM
