Summary: Onix seeks an experienced Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will be vital in designing and implementing solutions that meet client business needs and support the overall cloud architecture. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and technical teams to design and implement cloud architectures, including security, network, automation, and operations components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client executives, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and translate them into robust cloud solutions. The candidate will have hands-on experience in GCP; experience in other clouds is optional and preferred. Location: Remote Primary Responsibilities: You will lead clients in the architecture and design of enterprise-level cloud engineering solutions using cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Help drive the design and implementation of Cloud solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders and executives, enterprise and solution architects, cloud engineers, and other teams to understand requirements, use cases, and business objectives. Ensure quality, integrity, and governance standards are met throughout the engineering lifecycle. Stay current with the latest advancements in cloud and related technologies, evaluate their potential impact on the organization, and recommend relevant solutions. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize cloud configurations, storage strategies, and network configurations. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance requirements are met within the cloud environment. Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and best practices for cloud engineering on the cloud platform. Help in hiring, training, and mentoring new engineers and architects on best practices Partner with Delivery, and Support teams to find opportunities to reduce the manual effort needed to complete deployments. Qualifications & Skills . Google Professional Cloud Architect certification (required) Google Professional Network Engineer certification (preferred) Google Professional Security Engineer certification (preferred) Consulting, Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across a variety of industry markets Understanding customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with a core strength in infrastructure modernization, networking, security, operations 10+ years of experience demonstrating technical concepts, including demos, presenting and white-boarding 8+ years of experience designing architectures within a public cloud (GCP preferred) 5+ years of experience with the core discipline of choice (listed above) Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Javascript/Typescript, Terraform, Scala, SQL, or others and experience with related libraries and frameworks.
