SITEC - Systems Engineer - JBLM Job Locations US-WA-Joint Base Lewis-McChord Requisition ID 2024-144653 Position Category Engineering Clearance Top Secret Sector Defense Mission & Health Solutions Responsibilities Peraton requires Systems Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. Systems Engineers perform tier three systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government's software and hardware, Systems Engineers need advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users also is essential. Systems Engineers must be familiar with the systems engineering process and data as a fundamental building block for performance improvement. Participation in working groups, design reviews and system tests are required. This position will help generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations based on reviews. Systems Engineers require extensive knowledge of the development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance. Duties include but are not limited to: Providing planning and engineering guidance to network planners Assisting with network planning for contingencies, exercises, and operations Creating, designing, or scripting tools and playbooks that can automate configuration processes Providing detailed planning of network changes to support emerging requirements Reviewing, editing, publishing, and maintaining documentation and diagrams of engineering and design activities in agreed upon and accepted industry standard format Identifying and recommending tools and processes to accomplish enterprise NetOps tasks Providing design and architectural recommendations for long-term/chronic problem resolution Assisting with immediate and emergency troubleshooting and problem resolution as required Maintaining currency in applicable industry standards from bodies such as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission Salary range is based on geographical location. #SITEC2023 Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum of HS 12 Years, BS 8 Years, MS 6 Years, PhD 3 Years. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
