As aMaintenance and Utilities Technician Apprenticein our Greenville, OH coating and resins site, you will make an impact on the world with a fundamental focus on sustainability. As anMaintenance and Utilities Technician Apprentice, you will be a part of a team whichhas a long history and a strong focus on the production of quality products that primarily serve the automotive industry and more!

Starting on or about August 28th, 2024 you…

Will begin an academic Equipment Service Certificate at Edison State College program while working and learning at our Greenville, OH site from some of the best in the business. During your time here we don’t want you to sweat the small stuff so BASF will cover the entire cost of your educational program, including books!

When you’re not studying you will have opportunities to…

Work hands-on in our Greenville, OH coating and resins site to learn how to:

  • preform maintenance on utilities equipment including boilers, compressors, and cooling water systems.

  • planned maintenance.

  • optimize equipment.

  • perform operational equipment checks.

  • provide first level of support for the technical equipment.

  • store spare parts.

  • install and startup new equipment.

  • utilize of maintenance program including updating procedures and equipment list.

  • utilize of distributed control systems (DCS), SAP, and basic Word and Excel.

  • manage change process.

If you have the ability to...

  • learn on the job and use provided equipment/tools.

  • follow both written and verbal procedures/instructions.

  • comply with operational and safety guidelines.

  • demonstrate working independently and as part of a team.

  • lift 50 pounds.

  • stand and walk in work environment.

  • frequently use stairs (as required).

  • occasionally use respiratory protection including air purifying, air supplied, and self-contained air supplied respirators. Must pass fit test requirements for respiratory protection.

  • High school Diploma or GED.

  • Be enrolled in or willing to enroll in a BASF approved academic program.

  • Be willing to obtain a state boiler operator license within the first three years of employment.

  • work a rotating shift after the completion of the apprenticeship.
