The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry-Level Acoustics Engineer to support the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) team. This position is located in Everett, Washington.

As an Acoustics Analyst Engineer, you will be working on items that directly impact communities around airports and passengers of commercial airplanes around the world. We are recruiting energetic and innovative engineers to join our Flight Sciences team. Flight Sciences is at the very heart of airplane-level design, integration and support.

We work at every phase of the airplane lifecycle, from the initial concept to fleet support. We define requirements, do detailed design, analyze configurations, integrate across many disciplines, certify aircraft and provide fleet support for all BCA. Flight Sciences is composed of areas such as aerodynamics, noise, vibration, emissions, stability and control, weights, static and dynamic loads.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conducts acoustic and vibroacoustic analyses of new and derivative flight/launch vehicles.

• Assists with the design and validation of noise/vibration control technologies for structural, sidewall, airframe, propulsion systems, nacelle, rotor and component elements of flight/launch vehicles to ensure compliance with noise regulations, requirements and system qualifications.

• Conducts acoustic/vibroacoustic tests.

• Coordinates noise/vibration control requirements and validation testing to demonstrate compliance with affected design groups and suppliers.

• Develops and improves acoustics/aeroacoustics/vibroacoustic prediction and control technologies.

• Supports internal and external customer requests for operational and compliance vibration/acoustic data of flight/launch vehicles.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science?

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of acoustics or noise control or vibration engineering

  • Experience with Python or MATLAB or other computer programming languages

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation is authorized based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $69,700 - $94,300
