Providence St. Joseph Health Health Unit Coordinator - General Surgery in Colville, Washington

Description The Unit Secretary functions under the supervision of the Surgical Services Manager. Performs assignments given by the Surgical Services Manager, charge RNs, or Nursing Supervisor. Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the department. 1) Enters physician orders; 2) performs clerical and receptionist duties; 3) answers telephone; 4) runs errands; 5) maintains the physical environment; 6) orders nursing station supplies, particularly all chart forms; 7) assists with special projects and helps design audit tools and statistical studies; and 8) inputs computer data for reports, care management, and other nursing and pharmacy topics.
