Jacobs is seeking a Cyber Engineer Integrator to support the NISSC II contract. Your career at Jacobs enables NORAD/NORTHCOM to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at all NISSC II sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer missions to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD/NORTHCOM in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.

A Cyber Engineer Integrator is responsible for developing strategic procedures and upgrades, improving network and systems configurations. The Cyber Engineer Integrator analyzes the infrastructure operations, vulnerability and its efficiency to support mission-capable functions and deliverables. They also maintain the safety and security of the networks and system infrastructure ensuring its vulnerability patching accuracy and smooth navigation for operational use, especially preventing unauthorized access and the systems operates in a predictive manner. A Cyber Engineer Integrator must have excellent knowledge of the technology industry and the latest trends, as well as a strong command of cyber procedures and policies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Required Skills:

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • DoD 8570 Certification (for example Security (CE)

  • 6 years or more of experience performing system administration or system engineer duties in windows or linux environment.

  • Experience with educating an organization and clients about the cyber patching of the systems, networks, and cyber integration patching vulnerability procedure, its implementation, and its use

  • Experience handling a broad range of support for servers, desktops, and network devices working with different Operating Systems (OS) from Windows 2016-2022, Windows 10-11, Linux, RHEL and Unix.

  • Experience with the use of ACAS, STIG’s, Nessus, Splunk and CheckMarx or Fortify on network and other infrastructure devices

  • Experience analyzing cyber support vulnerabilities reports such as ACAS scans and any other documentation on policy and procedures

  • Experience defining cyber integration strategies and methods and then planning them in accordance with established deadlines and time schedules

  • Experience creating and providing technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integration patches to non-technical individuals

Desired Skills:

  • CISSP or CompTia CASP certification

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Significant relevant experience in supporting the sustainment of NISSC mission systems/subsystems.

  • Experience with other relevant missions surrounding the NORAD Northcom, Air and Space missile and legacy Space.

  • Worked in a integration environment on previous projects.

This position is expected to pay $140,000-$150,000 annually; this depends on experience, education, and any certifications directly related to the position.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

  • Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low

to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. It may require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up

to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Equipment and Machines

  • General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office

equipment.

  • Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment.

  • Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.

  • May require operating motor vehicles.

Attendance

  • Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is mandatory.

  • Position requires 10% travel

Other Essential Functions

  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications throughout the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.

  • Candidate must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity

in the workplace. Must be well organized and coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.

  • Candidate must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Grooming and dress are usually business casual but dependent on the client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
