Nursing Assistant Certified – Posting #26497

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Position Summary:

Full-time Nursing Assistant Certified position available at Sea Mar’s Bellingham Medical Clinic. The Nursing Assistant will assist providers with patient flow and provide patient care in a safe and timely fashion. Will work closely with other departments to provide the best outcomes for patients and the organization. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: assist with charting office visits, process point of care referrals, ensure communication and documentation for comprehensive patient care coordination, follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.  Successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with the healthcare team, maintain professional clinical standards, and demonstrate a high level of customer service at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Screening, collecting, and performing Clinical Quality Measures for every patient

  • Prepare the patient for their office visit with the provider. Obtain subjective data and vital signs, and ensure charting is in accordance with Sea Mar protocol.

  • Prepare exam and procedure rooms by stocking adequate supplies and disinfecting when necessary.

  • Assist providers with GYN exams, I & D's, and other minor procedures.

  • Responsible for pre-huddle preparation and participation to ensure the collection of all relative clinical forms, labs, and x-ray reports are prepared prior to the patient visit.

  • Assist with obtaining laboratory tests and results.

  • Must be able to support an MD seeing on average 21 patients per day and/or a ARNP/PA seeing on average 18 patients per day.

  • Able to identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a certificate of completion from a Nurse’s Assistant program, an active Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the state of Washington. 

  • Must possess a current CPR certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire date. Must maintain an active certification throughout employment.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
